ParticipantI couldnt help smile when I read the part with you being convinced that the dolls would get you at night. I remember as a child I was so scared of ventriloquist dummys. They were just plain evil in my mind…Anyways back to the topic, if you are so much into asian movies I have a recommendation for you. Check out A Tale Of Two Sisters

ParticipantWill do! Thanks for the tip. I have seen that one in my video shop so will get it and see how it goes. And you are right, ventriloquist dummies are the epitome of evil cos they are made to act alive so are doubly more likely to ‘get you’ in your sleep!!!

ParticipantIchi The Killer is a fantastic movie (starring the very hot Tadanobu Asano) – it’s by Takashi Miike so be warned that it’s not for the faint-hearted!

ParticipantI have heard a lot about Ichi the killer. Whenever there is some doc about Jap horror that one always gets mentioned. I will have to try to find it. And I cannot get hold of a Tale of Two Sisters anywhere! I keep trying though!

ParticipantYeah the asian films have, create a extreamly tense mood…Funny that the dolls wil “get” you if you treat them worng…if that was the case i would not be here…LOL

ParticipantI am totally loving Japanese horror at the mo! You guys know I love Ring and various others. Watched one called Dollmaster last night and it was totally creepy! I even had to put the light on when I went to bed! It featured (as you can probably guess!) dolls which take on the soul of their owners. Which I am convinced they do. When I was a kid, I never mis-treated my dolls or teddies cos I was convinced they came alive at night and would ‘get’ me if I was horrible to them! Anyways, how does everyone feel about Japanese films. Apart from being way more creepy than other films, I think they are filmed beautifully and have loads more atmosphere than English or American, especially considering they dont have background music to create the mood. Or not a lot anyway. You create the mmod yourself by being quite tense when you watch it. Also it makes a change to not know when you are going to jump cos there is no loud music to warn you!
