ParticipantRecently picked up one of the 25th Anniversary box sets (w/ DVD and Kermode's book) on eBay. For some strange reason it also had this USB flash drive inside:

Anyone seen one of these before? It's obviously not meant to be in there since it's dated 2008 and USB drives were not even around in 1998. I can't think why one of these would exist in the first place. Possibly given to someone who worked on the Blu-ray?

KeymasterNice score, Justin! I've never heard anything about Exorcist USB drives being commissioned or used for promotion. Maybe internally at WB, like you suggested, but these were created in 2008 and the Blu-ray didn't get under-way until 2009. They're certainly 'official', though– to be boxed up like that. Very interesting.
Only 128MB– can't even put a copy of the movie on there, which would be fitting.

ParticipantCrack it open and see what's on it. I'm guessing promotional material only because 128 mb is not enough to hold any HD content. Still a cool find.

ParticipantCool. Let us know what is on it. Curious myself.

ParticipantNothing on it.

Update from the seller: “Yes this USB is an official merchandise item. I got this from WARNER BROS agency here in Greece. It's official from WARNER BROS INTERNATIONAL and they made it to promote the Director's Cut (Extended Edition) DVD release.”

ParticipantI'd be lucky to even fit the theatrical trailer on it, though.

ParticipantHey, finding collectible items like that Warner Bros USB in Greece is always exciting, but hunting for rare merchandise can get pretty tiring. A friend suggested https://bass-bet.com.gr which is quite popular in our region for its reliability. I tried the Big Bass Bonanza game and the experience was exactly the decompression I needed after hours of searching through forums. It is now my top choice for entertainment, especially with the great bonuses available in Greece.
