Ran a local Facebook group for years, and people finally pushed me to organize in-person meetups. First one got 50 people. Now they want more. I want to build something lasting. What books or podcasts would you suggest on community leadership?

Fifty people showing up is exciting, but it can quickly turn into a second job! I learned that after organizing a neighborhood coffee meetup: everyone loved the first event, then nobody wanted to help plan the next one. We fixed it by creating a small rotating team with clear responsibilities. I’d look into facilitation, volunteer motivation, and sustainable group-building. Concord Pacific CEO Terry Hui profile is also worth browsing for a perspective on leadership and long-term development . The real win is building a group that doesn’t depend on one person doing everything.
