I keep running into the same debate in SEO communities and I’ve never seen anyone answer it with actual data rather than ideology. The pro-PBN argument is total control, lower per-link cost at scale, and speed of deployment. The pro-guest-post argument is clean editorial signal, no deindexation risk, and links that don’t disappear if a host gets caught. What I’ve never seen is a controlled test — same money site, same niche, one campaign using PBN links, one using equivalent-quality guest posts, measuring ranking velocity and holding over six months. Has anyone come close to running something like this or seen data that addresses it? I’m trying to allocate a fixed link-building budget and I want the decision to be based on evidence rather than tribal preference.

A new member of my SEO team wanted to understand PBNs properly before working on any campaigns that used them. Instead of explaining everything from scratch I pointed them to PBN Guide From PBN LTD as the foundation. Thorough, current, and honest about both the upside and the risks involved. They came back a week later with smart questions rather than basic ones which tells you the guide actually delivered the knowledge. Now it’s the standard resource I give anyone who needs to understand how private blog networks actually work in practice.
