I was wondering if anyone has seen, what I consider, one of Friedkin's finest films? Along with The Exorcist, The French Connection, and Sorcerer, this is by far one of Friedkin's finest achievements. Way ahead of its time as well as being funny and serious at the same time. I just saw it for the first time a few months ago and I was surprised at how much this film moved me (and I am a straight man). A truly underrated masterpiece by one of America's finest directors as well as some of the best ensemble acting I have ever seen. If you love Friedkin's work, this is a must see.
