ParticipantPretty simple.. What is the favourite item you own that relates to The Exorcist?

KeymasterOf all the things I own, my most prized possession (pun intended) would have to be the 8mm digest print of the film. They're very rare and the cut is extremely unique.
Having said that, I still haven't actually seen the print. I'm arranging to have it screened and record the projection very soon.

ParticipantAn original, production script of The Exorcist. It's interesting to see the differences from the page to screen. It's in a red cover/jacket with the traditional brass pins to keep it together. It's obviously gone through a lot, but I'm trying to keep it safe and make it last. I love the fact that an Oscar winning script is sitting near me or at least one that led to an Oscar.

Cap, that will make a nice edition if you can add it on here!

That's exactly my intention, FB. Hopefully in time for Halloween, but don't hold me to that.
Finding a decent projection facility in my city is tricky… and I refuse to send it away to be digitized. It will never leave my sight!

ParticipantI hope you can put it up soon =P
Or at least describe it to us when you see it! haha.

ParticipantNot particularly rare or anything, but I'm quite fond of the Oscar nomination ads that I just got framed. I have a thing for retro minimalist designs.
Need to hook 'em up but:

ParticipantI just bought a copy of Watchdog Magizine and it's all about The Exorcist. This will probably be my new favorite thing. Anyone of you guys have one of these?

This one?

It's one of the best magazine write-ups on the film!

KeymasterYou know, I'm still yet to read that Video Watchdog write-up. ÂÂ

*Hangs head in shame.*

ParticipantYes, I was lazy in taking this pic of the “tip of the iceberg” of some of the items I (and my now deceased father) collected on The Exorcist. This box of some trinkets was at my fingertips when I was looking for the 25th Anniversary Box Set to see who wrote that booklet. The one in the top corner talks about Kermode, yet doesn't list the author although it goes into some depth about the rites of exorcism (something like that, I only scanned through it) and the key players.
My favorite piece is the holy water bottle that my father purchased in the mid-70s from a memorabilia collector. The COA is located in yet another box in a binder wrapped in acid-free paper. My father was an even bigger collector of memorabilia than me … too bad I lost the original Disney watches in my house fire.

ParticipantWell, I used to have an old British magazine issue – can't exactly recall the name of it – Film Review, I think. It had Robert Redford and Mia Farrow in a scene from The Great Gatsby on the red cover, but the Exorcist feature inside was a real treat. Possessed Regan's description was something like “Her face is a horrific sight to behold, and she screams the foulest of obscenities.”
Hopefully that magazine is still tucked away with the rest of my belongings at the family house.
After that, my black t-shirt with the same image of Regan as seen on the 2010 DVD cover would make passersby on the street/in the mall do a double-take. I even strolled into a book and bible store in an Orlando outlet mall while wearing the shirt!

It eventually had to go bye-bye, but at least I got some photos taken of me while I was wearing it.
So for now, I prize the poster on my wall. It's not signed or anything, but I dig it.
