Wasn’t Burke One Of The Voices Coming Out Of Reagan In The Book?

    But actually in the movie you can hear Burke’s voice from Reagan: “Do you know what she did, your cunting daughter?”, referring to the fact she has killed him.
    Correct me if I am wrong. Or do you mean it should have been more often in the movie?

    More often. In the novel, I think, Burke speaks just as much as the demon voice.

    Well, it would impossible in a movie version to include so many dialogs.

    Well, when you think about it, his voice could have been used for many of Reagan’s possession scenes instead of the demon voice.

    It was many times in the novel, I believe. I think this would have been even more effective, using a voice that was known to be someone else in the film that the audience saw earlier who was now deceased.

    I agree with dsea on the comedy part. It would be like the sound of a fart in the hypnosis scene! 😉
