    I think we better understand why the score was dropped.

    Nice vid. it offers a look at any alternate version of the film. However, it’s clear that it doesn’t work within Friedkin’s concept of cinema verite.

    Very nice effort with the video, it was interesting to watch. I have to agree with ekm here, I’m glad Friedkin kept his vision in mind and didn’t buckle when it came to the score.

    Thank God this didn’t appear in the film! Thank God Friedkin told Schriffin to “GET OUT!” [Pun intended.]

    It´s a vid I made, re-imagining the film if Friedkin accepted Schiffrin´s score. The music is the Amityville Horror theme, which, was, part of it, originally to be used in The Exorcist. Here´s the link:

    The Amityville opening theme is a heavily reworked version of the proposed music… But selections of Schifrin’s actual original score have been released.
