Gee, must’ve been a few years ago… I caught it just after seeing TVYNS for the second time. I was just thrilled to be seeing another Exorcist movie. I didn’t even know at the time that Blatty wasn’t involved. I’m sure I’m forgetting things, but here goes. First, I liked the scene of Regan walking to the very edge of the roof with the birds. I found it spooky. She looked kind of angelic in the white dress with the birds around her. I liked when she was in the waiting room and got the silent girl to talk. The line, something like, “I heard her talking on the inside, then I heard her talking on the outside”. That she was psychic, drawing the picture of the fire before it happened. Burton’s line “she belongs to me” approx. And when he was about to kill her and hugged her instead… made me think that Karras probably would have hugged her too, if he wasn’t possessed. Anyway, from what I remember, that’s what I liked.
