I guess I’m the only one, but I don’t “see” Linda as Regan. She’s so different from Regan of the novel. I always think of Nicoletta Elmi or Sachi (Shirl’s daughter) as Rags. And Shirley as Chris, of course! 😀 I made a slideshow of Shirley and Sachi and towards the end, I added a picture of The Exorcist novel with them on the cover. If you want to see it, here’s the link:

-Delete the quick exchange between Chris and Dr. Klein “Do you keep any drugs in your house”. I thought it was stupid that he is just now asking that question

-Delete the dialogue about ritalin

Why would you want to delete that? Klein asked Chris about her having drugs in her house because he was desperate. He didn’t know what to think anymore. And the dialogue about ritalin is in the book too. Honestly, the cuts from scene to scene already come too quickly in the movie. Why cut more? 😉

I also have Blatty’s From Novel to Film and Peter Travers’ Story Behind The Exorcist that I will scan if I haven’t already.. can’t remember.

I scanned those a while ago. It’s on BTS section. But how are you going to scan Peter Travers’s book? The pictures are so small and dark! I thought you said your copy was like that too.
