You're right, she was anything but a sex symbol in that movie! I collect her movies and adore her but I really can't see her as Chris… maybe if she dyed her hair reddish blonde and put on freckles on her face she could pass more for Shirley. I get really touchy over this Chris & Regan MacNeil subject, they're Shirley and Sachi MacLaine to me and I feel very strongly about it 😉 therefore my wanting actresses who look like them to play Chris & Regan.        ÂÂ

I haven't seen Chloe in that movie yet, I want to! She was adorable in that Amityville remake but how old is she now, about 14? She looks so mature looking to be Regan! Do you know that little girl who played Jodie Foster's daughter in Flightplan? I think she'd be a better choice.
Yeah but you see, Charlize Theron is so well known! They should really cast unknowns for the roles… Besides Charlize is such a sex symbol LOL!

Sachi is just as talented as her mother is! 😉 She has been acting since she was a child…
I'm not sure I understand what you mean here… Blatty based Regan of the novel on Sachi, a sweet redheaded girl, and after all these years Sachi is still associated with The Exorcist.

Absolutely. Sachi's an incredible actress.
lol, do you even know what Sachi looked like as a child/teen? Yeah, she also had beautiful round cheeks, little button nose and gorgeous reddish, blonde hair. Just like my sim version of her does.
Linda was 13 when shooting began in August 14th 1972 which means Sachi was still 15 going on 16… she could pass for 12 considering how slender how body was.

Nah… Fatherb is right. I'm sure that's what Friedkin thought, as well. When it comes to Friedkin &The Exorcist there's no such thing as just a coincidence.
Oh yeah I just remembered Friedkin saying in the 25th anniversary DVD commentary that he didn't like one of the 'extras' clothes color, it was while filming the exterior scene with Ellen and Jason Miller. He had to stop shooting the scene and ask the guy to go away or something like that. I'm pretty sure he said that.
