Ive Always Felt that Both are the Exorcist, Merrin is The Exorcist there to Perform the Exorcism, In a Sense the Torch is Passed From Merrin to Karras, Merrin Dies, Karras Finaly Excepting that he is dealing with the Devil, Becomes The Exorcist By Getting Rid of The Demon, The Acts of both Merrin and Karras Result in a Certain Unity.
To be or not to be the Ending of the Dominion Fan Cut?

I think it’s Legitamit that Merrin is “THE EXORCIST”, But by the end, Karras has assumed the role and become “THE EXORCIST”
It may sound cheesy but I think a good example would be “THE MASK OF ZORRO”
Well Im gonna Wait about 24 Hours to Make My Decison on whether or not to use it.

Number 3 had been Made the Nightmare I was doing, all made up of ETB footage, with a few exeptions.
The Concept for that Nightmare just was not relevant to Merrin at that point in the story, So I came up with a completely differn’t Nightmare.

The last shot of Merrin is obviously from the beginning, there is Dust on his face, In My Cut of the Movie, the Pazuzu Statue is blown up and there is Dust, thats my Logic on why he would have it on his face in the closeup.
