ParticipantWell, at the moment I can't see your post but if you read the book, Detective Kinderman compares the clay from Regan's sculptures to the clay used in the desecrations. They came back as a match.

I've talked to the current owners a few times — very nice people. The gate is actually open more often than one would expect.
I'm curious. I assume they knew what the house was before they bought it. Do they find the attention amusing or annoying?
I have heard the lady that owned the Nightmare on Elm Street house was very friendly and even had the door painted red to look lie the later movies. She recently sold it though and the new owners have been altering it to look different.

ParticipantVery disappointed with this news.
The new Blatty feature sounds interesting but that's about it. I could care about that tired old case as much as Friedkin and Blatty try to push it was authentic. I heard Friedkin even say the the exorcism was deemed authentic by the Catholic church, which I'm fairly certain is untrue. Read the original diary if you can and you will see just how over-hyped it has been.
That they couldn't be bothered to do better prints or for God's sake a new commentary! That they would throw the world's worst commentary at us yet again makes me cringe!
Just recently watched a fan edit of the movie and that was more exciting to me than the last Blu-Ray release.
Maybe if they would make a special addition with a statue or bust I would get it…….. or just try to buy the statue or bust by itself on eBay…..
Maybe if my older Blu-Ray gets destroyed somehow I would consider buying this but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

ParticipantChanged the font on the 1st one. I like it better….

ParticipantIt reminds me of the scene where Kinderman looks up at the window and you see what looks to be Regan walking by the window. To me one of the creepiest scenes in the movie because you assume that she is strapped to the bed.

ParticipantOk. Fixed it. Here's a couple pics too!

ParticipantI tried posting from my phone. I’ll fix it when I get home……

ParticipantJust thumbed through this version since I just watched the Blu-Ray four days ago. This is a much better version in my opinion. The color is on and I wholeheartedly believe the make-up color was meant to be seen this way. The Blu-Ray looks too colorful to my eyes. Even the Merrin makeup looks better. Are you listening WB!? You want me to purchase yet another version of this movie then give us what we want! This is much closer in tint to the way I remember the original!

ParticipantJust got back. I actually left during the opening credits because my daughter was with me and needed to get home at a decent hour. They started a little later than I realized. They did a Q&A but if you've ever seen Mr. Friedkin before, you know he's a talker, so not a lot of questions going on. Linda discussed her charity and thanked Bill for casting her and said her life would have been much different and she would never have had the opportunity to help animals like she does.
Thy were signing items in the front and Bill was signing his new book. I got a really cool poster that was limited to 50 copies plus a barf bag which Linda was kind enough to sign for my daughter.
Effects make up artist Mike Hill brought his life size Regan down for everyone to see. It was amazing and I actually thought it was someone that was pretending to be a dummy. It was that good.

ParticipantI’m here. Friedkin is going to be here too!

ParticipantI liked the added footage but the cheesy subliminals needed to go. I wish they would have used the tongue spider walk also.

ParticipantI just hope they throw it all on here this time. Feeling a little milked since I just bought the other Blu-Ray. New commentaries would be nice too. Maybe the cast too. Friedkin did the absolute worst commentary on the DVDs. Amazing since I don’t think I’ve ever seen a man that likes to talk more than him!
