Ghetto, I agree, THESE DAYS molestation would be one of the first theories a doctor would conclude. Not back then.

I also disagree with this analysis of the film, albeit a refreshing take on the depth of The Exorcist. There is far too much going on spiritually for any of this to make any sense on the surface.

    Interesting theory, none the less.

I have this set. I bought it from Amazon back when it was in vogue and had just been released. The text by Kermode in the special edition book is especially interesting. Not unlike his BFI Classics text. There ARE DVD versions, too – which I recommend.

I am under the impression they are aware of it and have read, though they are yet to reply.

It is a good purchase if you are keen to see/own the sequels and need a copy of the original. I agree with Justin; if you have bought any individually I’d not bother.

Ryan, your find is rare indeed. It looks like the third pic (far right) on the cover is Eileen Dietz in full make-up.

It looks like a still shot from the hospital, in which case this would be a make-up detailing just early stages (you can see a scratch on her nose and cheek).

Never heard of such a scene, granville. Where dd you read about this?

A new booklet would be fantastic, and definitely including texts from Mark Kermode.

Sounds like a very neat fan-made box set! Any pics?

Getty is a world famous image house that markets professional images from every corner of the globe. You can purchase full resolution copies of their images, but there is no way they would ever remove the watermark from their low-res online copies.

Newspapers, magazines and big online webs buy them, mostly of celebrities, sports and world events.

Watermark or not, these are nice pics you have found. Good stuff as always 🙂

I’d like to see any TV specials that have gone to air, as well. As well as lobby cards, rare images, original trailers and TV spots, a booklet, and the screenplay.

Outtakes, even. I would love to see some outtakes from The Exorcist.

Do not expect a response too quickly, Sof. It may take some time. Hang in there.
