I agree with Dennings more than likely checking up on strange noises – and he knew Regan was sick from the party so he peobably wanted to make sure she was OK and nothing was wrong.
Wouldn’t it be kind of freaky to actually see Dennings’ death in some kind of sequel/remake one day?
They are the kind of plot arcs that keep fans interested, in my opinion.
For the original film, the way it plays now is perfect, no doubt about that.
What I’m suggesting is, in some sort of sequel (and I’m only day dreaming here, not desiring) it would be pretty interesting to see the murder take place. See how it happened and what triggered it, that sort of thing.
But I don’t wish for it, because I’m sure it would be a botched production. Just a nice idea, is all.

This is a nice idea, Ryan. My wife and I have discussed doing such a trip once our lil’ boy is about 3-5 years old (which is reasonably soon in the big scheme of things). We also want to see Canada and I’d like to see Rome again.
The BloodyNews.com group once talked about holding an Exorcist/Horror convention there. That is a monumentally huge and expensive task to undertake, however. I’m sure the right kind of support could be conjured up. It might be nice to set a landmark date for it – say The Exorcist movie’s 40th Anniversary or something?

Wow, Heretic is 30. That’s incredible. I grow more and more fond of that film as they years roll on, you know. I think it’s the nostalgia of it all.
