‘Tis the Season to be Scary: A Very Exorcist Halloween

Happy Halloween, Exorcist fans!!

While we live in an age where it seems Halloween costumes for women are often just excuses to dress provocatively and party, it’s comforting to know there are still fans out there that don’t mind sporting the scruffy hair, vomit-spoiled, ghastly look of Regan from The Exorcist. I’ve gathered some of my favorite, more recent costumes and make-ups below, some of them sent to me directly.

For that extra scare when trick-or-treaters approach your house, you can’t go past a creepy Exorcist prop. Regan’s head rotating, eyes flashing and her voice cackling while Tubular Bells spills out into the night would give anyone chills.

The life-sized Regan is probably the best Exorcist prop at this point, but there are some other great examples out there. I’ve found some of them in action on YouTube, embedded below. These kind of props were unfathomable to consumers as recently as 10 years ago. It’s amazing to see.
