Linda Blair appeared on the ABC News segment What’s The Buzz on October 24, 2012. You can watch her appearance below.
The interviewer opens the segment my mispronouncing the name ‘Regan’ but does go on to dub Linda “The Queen of Halloween”, which I think is an appropriate title.
In this interview Linda reveals she is the spokesperson for a Reader’s Digest Halloween music compilation titled Be Afraid of The Dark, with proceeds going to her charity the Linda Blair World Heart Foundation (and yes, the compilation includes Tubular Bells). She also speaks of Repossessed and Hell Night, and reaffirms that she believes The Exorcist is more of a theological thriller than a horror film.
“It’s one of the greatest films ever made”, she says. “There was so much controversy around it back then but now people look at it as an iconic film and I’m really proud to be a part of it.”
“I think of it as an extremely intelligent movie that just happens to scare the living bejesus out of people.”
This is Linda’s second television interview in a week, she also recently appeared on the Today show.
