I tend to believe Linda’s version of the story. Makes the most sense to me.

My fav scene is when Karras is kneeling down at the foot of the bed, and the bed is banging on the floor – the look on his face and in his eyes always gets me. It’s like he finally believes all that is happening is real.

I corresponded via email with Dietz a few years ago, and if memory serves me correctly, I believe she has a copy of this test reel.

I think today’s younger audience needs to have every detail spelled out for them on-screen. They just don’t pick up on subtlety, and implied inference.

I agree – the Chris/Kinderman scene is one of my favs! The acting, direction, and camera-work are incredible.

I always thought it was nothing more than friendly banter, but maybe someone else has a different take on this?

Very interesting reading for sure! I don’t think anyone but the people directly involved with these cases can say for sure if it was real or not – maybe even they can’t be 100% sure.
