I really don’t know when my Fan cut of Dominion will be done, Horrible stuff always seems to happen to my computer, my files, any finished work. I just lost many monyhs worth of work on my computer, and things that I do have on disc don’t seem to won’t to play on my computer, My editing software dosn’t seem to want to work rite, alot of differn’t sh*t, it’s one of those times when you feel Like putting a gun to your head.
But As Merrin said “I think the point is to make us Dispair”
I have no intention of giving up on this project, But it’s so ironic, that this film took forever to be developed, to be released, and now to be re-edited.Im not sure what kind of Video card there is, but the picture won’t be bad, it just won’t be 100% DVD, it would be if I could do that.
I really wish Someone from Morgan Creek/WB, were reading about this, or maybe James Robinson himself, He needs to allow DOMINION to get a better DVD treatment, put some Money into finishing the CGI, and other things.
I don’t know, there should be a petition or somethingWell I know have 2 thirds Of the Movie completed, and I aiming to have it ready around the Middle of october, at the latest.
Ive watched what I have so far and I like it very much, The sound is very good, the picture is basicly 9/10.
When I first started I was trying to save it as Hi-resolution files, basicly HD the convert it to normal Dvd, But that wasn’t working out, and it was takeing up to much time and My computer just does not have enough space etc.
However Im a very nit picky person and always look down on my own work, but the goal is satisfaction not perfect.I am curious though about Having copies in Ntsc and Pal format, I plan to have those, but It would take me to long to get copies to those who want it, so I was wondering if anybody would be interested in helping me Get copies to those who want them.
Even most of the Copies would not come with a case or artwork, I still would Like for their to be some official artwork for it, It’s time to start submiting dezines, of course for people that have printers , they could download and print the artwork for their copies.I ask these things because, This is A fan cut, it’s not a product or bootleg, so Makeing and shipping the Copies are whats going to cost me Money, I don’t think I could do it on my own.
all I would be able to do are excerpts with the lines in them, it would have been great to get the Music without that stuff. of course at the moment I am Working The movie.
when I get to the School house scene I’ll take Jomo’s image and play around with it, see what I can come up with.
As for Cheche’s Arm and Leg, we Never get a good Look at his arm because he is laying on it, so I didn’t worry about that. His Leg though is something that is still an Issue, even though he had surgery on it, the Leg would still be very thin, When cutting back to the scene where we see Cheche on the grond his leg does acyually for some reason Look more Normal than it should, but I’ll see what kind of Compromise I can come up with.
As always thankyou for your observations and support.I spent all day puting together a clip that is pretty close to my vision of The Demon leaving Cheche, It’s a very good example of what Im aiming for.
As I said its a Variation on the new shot, this version has that light in it, the new footage does not, plus it hasn’t been trimed rite to substitute tohe other shot, so it’s longer than intended, but I was playing around with differn’t ideas, I had thought it would be neet to actually see Cheche change back into himself, Ive got mixed feelings on the official shot, of wether it was Paul’s vision, or the fact that Morgan creek pulled the plug, before post production could be completed.
Plus I made his leg change back to a crippled one. I also had thought of it as his hair growing out of his head.
I admit Im doing a few freez frames but it’s more because Im doing this without any money and limited software.
I have a question, are you saying to cut to the clinic with or without the white light. also the shot Of the Demon going into the hyena, when I first saw Dominion it was on a bootleg disc with really bad picture quality, and at the time I thought the eyes turned yellow not red, and I thought that was conecting to the demon eyes in the Exorcist, then when the Dvd came out I found out the eyes were red.
Ive considerd doing Greenish-yellow eyes for the hyena.
But I’ll post the Raw Footage of the new shot of Cheche, and a Pic showing the eye colors I had in mind for Mr.Hyena.raw footage.

Well I can’t make Cheche’s eyes yellow for the most part, I dont have that kind of software everything like that is being done Frame by frame, I can really only do that to him for a few seconds or so, but I’ll try a few more tricks with that, I understand about the Hyena, but it was just an idea, I only painted the eyes for the frames that I posted, intend to keep everything the same after the Exorcism, with the exception of the very last shot, I know a few People wanted Merrin walking out of the Doorway to fade into the shot of him walking toward the vatican in ETB, but thats up for debate.
And with Cheches leg, I get the drift.
but im going to try a little test and perhaps post it later.Thanks M.I.K.E., If I had made Dominion I would have had Pazuzu’s physical form shown that way, and thanks for the info about the script, I had no idea it had been like that, Makes you wonder what it would have been like if that was kept.
Bot I love Dominion either way, I did do a similar pic of pazuzu, with a snake tung sticking out, couldn’t find that one though.The Demon was the main let Down for me, I wanted to see the Demon we got, but I also Wanted to see him turn White(Captain Howdy). and running like a spider during the Exorcism, He Excepted that he couldn,t use words to overcome Merrin, so he Physicaly turned into that, and goes on a Rampaige throuout the cave.
Maybe Morgan Creeck should have filmed that as additional scenes and cut it into the exorcism, instead of redoing the whole damn movie
Hi, I took about 3 days off from working on the fan cut of DOMINION, needed a little break, But I needed something else to do, so I used a free program I downloaded, For animating Lightsabers, I filmed myself swinging a pole in front of the camera, then used the program to make the blade, then I used my Video editng software to ad sound, and a few small things, here’s the link.
