uhhh sofia you kind of triple posted lol but yeah, good insight! Ive told you this several times, my sims Exorcist is being treated as an “Exorcist Remake” and is a combo of both Blatty's Novel and The movie. I wanted to add more details to each scene and make it sound more brutal. And also I promise to keep the profanity less in the upcoming scenes….And also If I get the chance I might do some of the past scenes that i didnt get. (Psycological Assessment,Bed Shake etc.) And that line you mentioned…

Sorry for the Triple post but….its done! Here is the Chris meets Karras scene!

She was standing in the park alone, waiting for someone while the apple trees shed their leaves and cars drove by in their quiet way and people, young happy couples walked by her. Seemingly ignoring the movie star. Chris still remembered the ordeal that occurred one week to this day…

Regan needed 12 stiches in her labia and clitoral area after her mother found her brutally masturbating using a crucifix. The doctors initially thought she was raped and even asked Chris if their had been a history of sexual abuse in her family. They even wanted to interrogate Karl! They simply could not belive that she was doing those acts with a cross.

 

In order to dust away a bad memory, Chris gazed into the beautiful, lilypad laden pond.

 

Thats when she realized a man was coming for her, green polo shirt, jeans and a muscular figure. Not a priest. way too good looking to be a man of the cloth.

Chris sat on the bench while the man kept approching her and apparently got too close to for her comfort. “Keep moving, creep.” She growled at him. “Or I swear I will slap you into next week!!”

“Chris MacNeil? I'm Damien Karras”

 

Chris stood up from the bench, visibly embarrased “Oh good JESUS, I am so so sorry Father!”

 

“Don't worry about it Chris, I should have told you I wouldnt be in uniform.”

His voice was a comfort to her. His accent resembled the average American, but she could sense plenty of nationalities in there. Italian,Greek and strangley, she heard a little Australian in his voice.

 

“I thought it would be less conspicuous, you were so hell-bent on keeping this quiet.”

 

“Yeah well, I should have been more concerned with not making a total ass of myself. I never expected a priest to look so…….”

 

“Attractive?”

“Yeah…Lets face it, Its not everyday that a clergyman looks like…..you…. but I was about to say 'human' I mean you look like a normal human being that can actually help me here!, Incidentally you have a cigarette?”

“Yeah,can you go with unfiltered?”

“At this point im ready to experiment with Mary-Jane”

 

“Hey, you're friends with Father Joe Dyer, right?”

“Yeah, we're pretty close.”

“Did he tell you about the party I had?

“Yeah, he liked it, sorry I couldnt make it…”

Karras chose not to mention his mother's passing.

 

“Did he talk to you about my daughter?”

“Nope, I never thought you were a parent.”

“Her name is Regan and she's 12, did he say what she did?”

“No, never said anything.”

“Priests keep a very tight mouth, right?”

“Yeah….I guess you can say that.”

 

“Well…say if someone came to confession, who was a murderer and he confessed that he killed someone, would you have to alert authorities?”

 

“No, That's a matter of confession, you cant discuss it outside of church.”

“What if it was outside confession? would you do it?”

“No, I would, however, convince him to turn himself in.”

 

“And…how do you go about getting an exorcism?”

 

“Pardon?”

“If someone is possessed by some sort of devil, how do you get them exorcized?”

 

“Well, First of all you would have to get them in a time machine and transport them to the middle ages.”

“I didn't get you?”

“Well, It dosent happen anymore Chris, not since we found out about mental illness, like Paranoid Schiznophrenia and Multiple Personality. In fact, many people dont even belive in The Devil anymore, saying that evil is a natural human condition and as far as demonic and spirit posession is concerned,Since they day I became a Jesuit, I have never met a priest,rabbi,or Muslim Clergyman that has done an exorcism.”

 

“But what about all those stories in the Bible about Jesus doing exorcisms?”

 

” If Christ said that those people who were 'possessed' had Dissacosiative Identity Disorder, I would imagine they would have cruified him on the spot!”

 

“Yeah….It just so happens that someone very close to me….is probably possessed…and needs an exorcism done.”

 

Karras gazed in her pitiful face, this was no joke, this woman was being serious.

“Father Karras, its my little girl! Its REGAN!!”

“Then thats more of a reason to forget about exorcism.”

 

Chris became angry.

“What? I dont understand!!”

“If what your telling me is true, then your daughter probably has schitznophrenia or split personality, and an exorcism may make the problem worse! and besides, there are droves of doctors and psychiatrists that could—“

 

A little bit of an Australian accent came out when he said the word “droves” but Chris was so distraught she didn't notice

 

“NO! She dosent need a Psychiatrist, she needs a PRIEST!!! She's already seen every God damn, motherfucking psychiatrist in the universe and they send me to you now your gonna send me back to THEM!?! JESUS H. FUCKING CHRIST CAN'T ANYONE HELP ME?!?!?”

 

The scream was so loud all the birds in the lake flew away and her peircing yell echoed across M street.

 

Chris then broke down and started crying in Karras' arms.

“Can't you help her? Please help her! Anything to make my little girl better again!”

“Alright Chris…I'll see her tonight…”

Well, It seems like forever since ive seen you guys, so Im just gonna let you know, Im working on the Chris meets Karras scene right now and let me tell you something, You have no idea how good my Sim Hugh Jackman looks as my sim Karras! I'm telling you guys, he would be perfect for the role as Karras in an Exorcist remake.

 

And going back to what SOF said I mean , your sims of Ellen Burstyn and Linda Blair dont look anything like them. lol. they are sweet looking but, I don't know, doesn't look real like my new sims versions of Shirley and Sachi do. Downloading realistic skintones really make a difference

 

My sim Regan and Chris arent really in the likeness of anybody. Chris was a custom made redhead sim that I thought was very good looking. As for my Sim Regan, I tried to make her in the likeness of Linda Blair, but I t didnt really work out, but I was satisfied with the end product. So far, the only 2 Sim characters that are going to be in the likeness of a celebrity is Karras and Merrin, as you can see in my sig 🙂

Alright, I decided to take 4 test photos as my preview for the next part of my Sims Exorcist. This preview will showcase my sim of Hugh Jackman as Karras and “Possessed Regan”

“Can't you help her?! Please help her!!! Anything to make her normal again!!! (cries)” 

“Alright, I'll see her tonight…..”

 

“And I'm The DEVIL!!! now kindly undo these straps!!”

“Show me Regan and Ill loosen the straps.”

“Coulja help an old altar boy Faddah?”

And also, clint eastwood did marvelous in Gran Torino, considering his advance age! (matter of fact he's the same age as Max von Sydow) So, him as Merrin would be great!

sorry for raising a somewhat dead topic. I know that Sof already knows this, but I think another actor to play Karras would be Hugh Jackman. Merrin could DEFINETLY be played by Sir Anthony Hopkins or Clint Eastwood. Hell, Max von SYDOW could still do it even though he is now in his late 70s! But im aiming more at Clint Eastwood being Merrin.

 

And…the voice of the Devil…Im guessing if the Devil should have that gravelly voice, instead of that cheesy deepened Darth Vader voice. Im guessing that they guy who voiced Wolverine for the 90s cartoon could do the voice for “Posessed Regan”
