I actually did a fan-edit of the crucifix masturbation scene with the new scream in it. I used windows movie maker and audacity to make this. I strategically positioned the scream to happen after the “BANG” when chris is walking up the stairs. The screech itself is about 10-15 seconds long. So its perfect when chris races up the stairs and into Regan's bedroom. The scream dies down when all the LPs are flying in the room, and it stops right before the “let jesus f*** you” part. and I just let the scene play out as it was,

In actuality, The reason why I think that this scream goes with The Exorcist is not JUST because it sounds horrifying, its because they both have somthing to do with horrible facial injury. In the Homeless to Harvard movie, the girl thats screaming her brains out got burned by acid bleach to the face. It kinda goes back to the Idea that Bill Friedkin had when he made The Exorcist, that the whole “Posessed Face” that Regan had was mainly due to the idea that the demon had stabbed her in the face with the crucifix. Its just my 2 cents.
I still think the enhanced sound in TVYNS makes the movie scarier. For example, during the “fuck me” scene. When Regan is having the “seizure” before she gets fully possessed for the first time. The enhanced sounds make it sound like the demon is VIOLENTLEY thrashing her around. And the sounds that Regan makes when she is possessed, sounds 10 times more demonic in TVYNS. And the crucifix scene, its more like a stabbing sound than the squish in the original version. And when the devil's face appears during the hypnosis scene…. so awesome..

Or POSSIBLY, When Regan was pleading with the Devil not to make her masturbate with the crucifix, he probably slashed her repedatly and FORCED her to masturbate by posessing her.
yes, when you hear regan screaming in the beginning of the crucifix scene its probably the devil stabbing her in the face repedatly and when chris comes in the room, she finds her masturbating with it.
I personally loved it, but I really do think that making Regan bend back that much was pushing it, I LOVED the movie spiderwalk, I know that demonic posession allows for sickening contortionism, but the movie spiderwalk made it seem more real.
i personally never read the book, but wtf is with the spiderwalk? It looks a bit absurd….. I think the one from the movie is better.
Also, during the scene where the demon speaks in Karras's mother's voice, Regan….that poor girl looked horrible, all sweaty and beaten. It almost looks like her skin was turning blue 🙁
