I never noticed the cab driver, but I was convinced when I was first getting into the film that Friedkin was walking in the shot where Karras is watching Chris act in the beginning. >_>

I'm on the fence about which version I prefer.  I saw TVYNS first and I do like some of the added hospital scenes, but I do agree with the added subliminals.. Really not needed.  Captain Howdy is enough for me =P

Well, I guess I'm off to watch the original cut to help my opinions progress! :>

Edit: I just noticed both Merrin and Karras can't button up shirts properly =P

As far as 'deep', the stair scene is amazing. They don't say MUCH, but hey that's the beauty.. Wonderful acting.

But my favourite scene will always be Chris and Kinderman in the kitchen!

I had a surprisingly sad dream last night.  I was near the Georgetown area of Washington on top of some mountain ( I know.. =P) and I couldn't get to the place I've been dreaming to visit.. It was insanely wierd.. I could see the campus and the steps, it was depressing!

EDIT: Well, turns out I'm just going to wander the streets and scare some kids at the house.. Just found out maybe a big dude in coveralls and a michael myers mask may be better than nothing =P

I think the demon was definitley playing games with Karras.  It gets more into that with the book, it shows that the demon was very strong and intelligent (not to mention when the demon says to Karras while returning after the holy water incident, “So, you're back..  I'm surprised. I would think that embarassment over the holy water might have discouraged you from ever returning.”)  Although, I'm having a problem wondering why the demon would want to put off an exorcism since it's goal was (mainly) to defeat Merrin.. Ahh I guess just a little demonic fun, eh? :>
