I never thought I’d spend this much time just trying to mirror my Mac to my TV, but here I am. It all started when I wanted to stream a football match from a site that doesn’t have a Fire TV app. I figured I’d just mirror the screen and be done with it. First app I tried lagged so bad the audio was ahead of the video by almost 5 seconds. Tried another one, and it kept showing pop-ups about upgrading to premium every time I opened it. Worst part? Even after upgrading, the connection kept dropping mid-stream. It made something as simple as watching a game turn into a troubleshooting marathon. That’s when I started digging for options that were actually made with macOS and Fire TV in mind, not just generic screen mirroring tools.
