ParticipantIf it looks good I’ll get it, because I still need E2, E3 and ETB.

ParticipantI wish they would stop putting out the same old S**T, they need to give us something much better to look forward to,
the first 3 need to have a nice remastering job done, I don’t think there gonna go through the trouble of re-dubbing the Demon’s voice in the Heretic, but they could atleast do better picture and sound, and maybe a Comentary(See how Boorman reflects on the movie. Exorcist 3 needs to have at least the subtitle legion put in it, even if its not the original version, the Beginning should only be included if its the unrated version thats on vcd in Asia(anybody seen it?) And Dominion needs too have its special FX finished, some better picture and sound(I see pop marks and scratches) Needs a bonus disc, And even if they don’t polish this movie up, they need to at least take “PREQUEL TO THE EXORCIST” out of the damn opening title(Looks Horrid)
I doubt these things will be done, I know Im takeing along time with my re-edit of Dominion, but im not a maijor studio, I don’t have top of the line software and equipment, But at least Im takeing my time to perfect things, Im not rushing through it, I know there will be those people who don’t like my cut or think it’s unnecessary, But at least Im giveing it more Love and attention.
It’s pathetic when the studio neglects their own film, just because it wasn’t “Scary Enough”August 2, 2006 at 11:59 PM #15427ManInKhakiExorcist
ParticipantMaybe, maybe, maybe Blatty’s VHS copy of HIS Legion version — a rough cut — could turn up as a second disc or special feature. Blatty HAS such a copy of the film, which, given all accounts concerning THE “Blatty version” that never surfaced, is in fact the closest thing to being a finished film THAT Exorcist sequel will EVER be. The footage and other necessities Blatty and co. would require to assemble his PROPER cut… are MIA. Probably decomposing in James G. Robinson’s office bathroom’s septic tank. GRRRRR.

ParticipantSeems they’re just giving us the one released in the UK, but with an even shittier cover.

That looks horrible, the least they could do is use the original font. And hatter76, you say there’s an unrated ETB? I’ll have to look for it!

ParticipantJusty, you don’t have E:TB? What is WRONG with you…?!
Wait, nevermind — that’s being harsh; you deserved a pat on the back. Good man. 😀

ParticipantAll i want to see is the rough cut of Legion like M.I.K.E. says. That’t would be nice if they out that out there but i doubt it will happen. And concerning front covers, who gives a damn

ParticipantThe boxset contains “The Exorcist : the original classic”. Which DVD is it? The first edition or the 25th anniversary edition?

ParticipantI can’t believe you guys in the US(?) are only just getting this box set. It has been available here since at least last Oct.
Mind you we’ve been robbed of all the decent DVD releases you guys have had for years including the R1 version of The 73′ Exorcist!!

ParticipantWOW, so I just saw the US Amazon description… and it looks like both TVYNS *AND* the “original” version will be present.
Anyone know if they mean the one from the 1997 DVD (minus the computer-aided possessed-Karras face morph)… that would be cool — having both “definitive” versions… A-GAIN! HAHA. 🙂

KeymasterM.I.K.E.
It it is the 25th Anniversary version of the original 73 Exorcist – included in the boxset.
I still can’t believe you guys DON’T have that set – it has been available in the UK for well over a year (that’s a first – you guys normally get SPECIAL EDITION DVDs – meaning they look unique & special – case in point the Fight Club 2 disc).
Anyway – don’t get your hopes up the boxset is as follows
The Exorcist – 25th Anniversary
Heretic
Legion
ETB
DominionAugust 20, 2006 at 11:59 PM #15590Jason Stringer
KeymasterAh, our boxset DOESN’T include TYNS – you guys have one up on us again!!!

Participant(Thanks, Fletch.)
Anybody know if the films in this “anthology” will keep their respective covers (art), or will they simply be “discs in a box”…? The covers to each of the films — even the stinkers — are classic and should be retained with each new re-release; of course, I won’t lose sleep if the “evens” ever get phased out. :p
Ironically that could be the main reason why I pick this up or not. Yes, I NEED HELP…!

ParticipantI really want this. I rented the 25 Anniversary one but someone before me had dropped it on stones or something and it was near totally unplayable *GRR*
BTW I`m new here I just joined yesterday and can`t say how happy I am to find an active Exorcist Forum!
