Good job, Sof. In fact, Mary Beth would have made a perfect replacement for Blair. I think she’s a much prettier version of Regan. (Forget about the southern twang, she could have worked on that easily).

huge fan of Mary Beth, she looks a lot like Sachi (Shirley MacLaine's daughter)and so she's exactly how Regan is described in the novel:

Thanks, fatherb! 😀 Yes, Mary Beth would’ve been perfect. Linda looks too much like a Portuguese girl, she could pass for portuguese being a brunette and all. Mary Beth, on the other hand, has the look that Regan is supposed to have: sweet freckled face, reddish blond hair, etc.

There’s also an excerpt of the novel when she and Chris go out to the Hot Shoppe and she was described as, “slender as a fleeting hope.” So once she’s “possessed” you really feel for her, she’s a lot more pitiable looking than Linda’s portrayal.

De pintxos por el casco viejo de Bilbao, me quedé solo un rato en la barra y saqué el móvil por aburrimiento. Busqué sitios nuevos para jugar y di con spingranny casi por casualidad. Las máquinas tragaperras tienen gráficos muy chulos. Metí un depósito pequeño pensando que lo perdería rápido, como me pasó la semana pasada en otro lado, pero esta vez la suerte cambió radicalmente. Me llevé un premio majo que me alegró la tarde gris que hacía fuera.
