After changing a router, I would want to know whether the internet issue belongs to the equipment, the service line, or the way the home network was set up. With IdeaTek, I would not want to report a broad outage if only one part of the house is affected. Should I mention the router change first, or describe where the connection works and where it drops during daily use? I’d also include whether the same issue happened on Wi-Fi and wired connection.

Home-network notes for IdeaTek customer service work best when they separate the router change from the actual service line. I usually say which rooms connect well, where the signal drops, whether wired devices behave the same way, and what changed during setup. That makes the request more useful than saying the whole internet is unstable. If only Wi-Fi is affected, equipment placement may be the focus; if wired service drops too, the service-side review has a clearer starting point. The message stays practical when it describes normal use across the house.

Wi-Fi versus wired behavior is probably the most important clue in a home-network issue. If Ethernet stays stable while only certain rooms lose signal, that points in a very different direction than a full service drop. Describing the house pattern first makes the request much easier to understand.
