Scoring high on an IQ test sounds like a good thing, but honestly, it often feels like the opposite. Overthinking turns small decisions into long internal debates. Social situations become exhausting because every word and gesture gets analyzed. The brain never really shuts off, and relaxing feels nearly impossible. Is there anyone else who feels like a high IQ is more of a burden than a blessing in everyday life?

Sometimes having a mind that works differently than what people expect can be a mixed experience. Overthinking can make simple choices feel heavier, and social settings can become draining when every detail gets noticed. There are times when it feels like the brain never really switches off, making it hard to truly relax. Still, I’ve come to see that these same tendencies can also lead to a deeper understanding of things and more meaningful connections with others. Looking through some MyIQ on Reddit conversations, I noticed many people sharing similar stories and offering support. It’s comforting to know that others face the same challenges and still manage to grow and stay connected. In the end, it’s not about the number, but about finding your own way to make life work.

Thank you for sharing that, it really means a lot to hear from someone who gets it. You’re right, it’s easy to get caught up in the challenges and forget that the same tendencies can also bring depth and understanding to our relationships. Your reminder that it’s not about the number, but about finding what works for each of us, is something I’ll hold onto. I appreciate you taking the time to write such a thoughtful response.
