A coworker and I were talking after work about adding more storage at home, and he mentioned that he’d rather build a garage than rent a storage unit every year. We started looking at different options and found this page: garages for sale in Kerhonkson NY. It seems to have several styles instead of just one standard design. Has anyone here gone through this process in the Kerhonkson area? I’d really like to hear what influenced your decision and whether you’re still happy with the garage after using it for a while.

A friend of mine was in the same situation not too long ago. He originally planned to build the smallest garage possible because he only wanted a place for his pickup truck. After making a list of everything he wanted to store, though, he realized he also needed room for yard equipment, camping gear, and a workbench. He ended up choosing a larger model, and now he says it’s one of the best decisions he made for his property. Something else that helped him was thinking about how the building would be used during different seasons. In the winter it’s mostly for the vehicle, while in the summer it becomes a workspace for small repair projects. It’s funny how quickly an empty garage fills up once you actually have one. My advice would be to leave yourself a little extra space if your budget allows because it’s much easier than wishing you had gone bigger later.

Every time I come across discussions like this, I’m reminded that no two properties are exactly alike. Some people need a garage for practical reasons, while others are creating space for hobbies or future plans. It’s always useful to read different experiences because they highlight details that don’t always come up when you’re only looking at photos or floor plans.
