Hey, guys, so I’ve just about turned in my second draft of my essay for Ben S’s Blatty’s works essays book, but I need to cite my source for one more detail… and so if you know the answer, please share it — I need to know what non-internet source (unless it’s a reprint of the original article or book passage) specifies THIS tantalyzing detail:

John Carpenter was once attached to direct the film that became THE EXORCIST III.

I will owe you bigtime if you can help me here. I’m sure I have at least one mag article that features this detail, but I’ve scoured them thrice now and it’s not turning up.
