ParticipantThe Exorcist looks like one of the latest ideas used in those phone shenanigans…
This is probably not safe, er, anywhere:

ParticipantOf the two miscreants, definitely Zombie. Unless you’d enjoy seeing Merrin as a drunken hick who tries to grope Reagan while cursing loudly over the emptiness of his bottle.
Other names should certainly include Marcus Whatever, the wretch responsible for “Texas Chainsaw Remakessacre”.
And Nolan… let me sum up how his “vision” would go:
“Firstly, we strive for realism. No demons, no possession. It is simply a case of mental illness, and we need to make it clear. The exorcism is, in our view, metaphor for psychotherapy.
Secondly, we need to know more. How did Karras become a priest? We’ll start with showing his days in the seminary. And Merrin, what is his history? Let’s go back to the first mass he conducted. I want to see him try on his habit for the first time. Study the Bible as a young boy. We must see it all. No detail must be left unexplained. The stairs, who built them? What make of cement did they use? We want to see it all. And in closeup. Don’t forget to shake the camera when the stairs are built. And when the priest tumbles down them. I want realism, I want the audience to feel it!
And no cheery music, no tubular bells or whatever those things are. This is a serious piece. We need to restore the gritty nature of this franchise…”Etc.

ParticipantOf course it wasn’t a hoax. It was a prank.

ParticipantWell, I finally found that “Beginning” – unfortunately, in the meantime, my ISP capped the uploads restrictively, so uploading it anywhere would take about a week. :
I remember uploading it somewhere earlier than that, though. Perhaps I can find that link… perhaps.

ParticipantI know what music this is… unfortunately, I don’t know its name. 🙂
It’s not on the 1 CD soundtrack or even the 2 CD one. I ended up grabbing it from the DVD’s audio when I was making my “Complete Soundtrack” a while ago. It actually sounds as if it was composed by Jack Nitzsche, and most of his incidental compositions were not included on any soundtrack, unfortunately…

ParticipantThe Amityville opening theme is a heavily reworked version of the proposed music… But selections of Schifrin’s actual original score have been released.

ParticipantNo, no… the remake would need to fail; if it were to succeed, Apocalypse would break out the next day, and I’d prefer it not to come by 2010. Therefore, the choices would have to be as bad as can be. For instance, Paris Hilton for Regan, Ben Affleck for Merrin a [teenage boysband “star” of the week] for Karras, and a rapper (whichever – they all sound, look and act the same) for Kinderman. With music by Marilyn Manson and script by Ehren Kruger & Akiva Goldsman.

ParticipantThis is one of those rare instances where the film manages to surpass the source novel.

ParticipantThankfully, I forgot about any of the wretched films, but in the story, it’s He Who Walks Behind The Rows. Essentially, one of the local pagan deities who populate every village in King’s writings (even if he does use a total of five locations…)

Participant– The jackal.
– Lucifer’s servant, a fallen nun who entered a coven in Ireland and met Spilletto there. “Baylock” was a false name, a pun on her coven nomen B’aalock.
– A devil’s servant who doubted and turned around while he still could. Along with B’aalock and B’aalam, he was chosen by Spilletto to participate in the June 6th ceremony. His doubts began earlier, but he only broke down and turned after he had been ordered to kill the real Thorn child.
– A mark of those “born into” the service…
– He took care of Damien. At the time of the shooting, the adoption was implied; in the sequels, it was changed a little, to complicate things further.Vess
ParticipantUwe would be perfect, to guarantee its box-office destruction. Unfortunately, the Germans closed Uwe’s financing source (tax law hole) and so… Uwe had to leave the big budget boondocks: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/news/e3i1f048e311710f2fbd98c7b8bdcd3fb63

Participant“Glynis Bethel” is an anagram for “Get Hell By Sin”. Coincidence? Nay! ‘Tis the work of the demon, for certain!

ParticipantIt’s messy, but watchable. Of course the watchability is only thanks to Timothy Dalton, whose gravitas successfully conceals the fact that behind his back hides a mediocre video.

ParticipantDemonoid is unfortunately dead. Looks like it was the only source for the torrent, and possibly its only tracker… 🙁

ParticipantI’m looking at what onarfilms.com is doing with those Turkish turkeys… and thinking of doing a CaptainHowdy DVD edition of Seytan… 🙂
The material that I have for potential extras so far includes… err… the poster. And subtitles. Which don’t match the new version’s timing. :
