Don’t get me wrong!
I meant that I thought the concept of Evil speading like a disease,never totally leaving those that it touched,somewhat interesting as it sort of backed up the Legion story “we are many”.
The characterisation of Sharon was terrible.It didn’t even seem like the same actress!She was smart,classy and competent in the original.She became sarcastic,two-dimentional and creepy in The Heretic.I think that that was down to poor character development.
ugh..It was terrible.Lamont all over Regan sort of looked like Burton was just drunk and not acting at all.
Perhaps I’m being harsh.
I’m still no closer to sorting out My Pazuzu/legion query.I think I’ll compile all the evidence for and against it being Pazuzu in the third movie and post it later.

thanks for the thoughts,
I wonder what Blatty himself envisioned when he was writing the novel.The end of legion implies that pazuzu and all of the other demons are a part of Lucifer,shattered peices trying desperately to re-form as an angel,This would suggest that there is no separate entity,known as Lucifer-yet puzuzu alludes to him in the original.But,yes,I know,the demon is a liar.
The Gemini alluses to The demon as “certain parties” and “friends” when he mentions the earlier exorcism of Regan,stating that those parties were not pleased that they had to flee.I would wonder if it was ever JUST Pazuzu in the original,but a myriad of demons-hence “I am no-one”.
Here is where the Boorman film may be interesting.It developed the notion that once the evil touched you,you became binded to it,like Sharon.Again the notion that it was many and not one.The film ,however, does name Pazuzu as the main demon though.
Did the demons pop in and out of the gemini’s head,in the host body or was it Pazuzu?
I would love it if Blatty himself ever made this clear in an old interview or something!
