ParticipantAgreed ^^
I loved seeing how the Drawer and chair were moved and dragged, it was just so simple. It was perfect! :>DamienKarras
ParticipantI always try to avoid watching movies when I’m just about to fall asleep =P
There was a time though, when I was sleeping over at a friends house and fell asleep. I woke up to Regan saying ‘my bed was shaking’ (he put it on while I was asleep.. So it kinda counts as sleeping during the film haha. Now I try to avoid watching movies I like with my friends. :>October 1, 2010 at 9:13 PM in reply to: Theatrical Release – September 30, 2010 – The Spoiler Page – Enter at Your Own Risk! #23264DamienKarras
ParticipantWhen I was in the theatre they showed about a 5-10 minute ‘preview’ of the doumentary that was going to be shown at the end before the movie started..

It was kind of surprising considering she looked like she could, Well.. Whoop my assEDIT: I also did notice the two missing subliminal pazuzu shots.

ParticipantI was too somewhat dissapointed, There were about 20 people in the theatre, most of which had already seen the film, so there weren’t really any strong reactions.. In fact the only part people actually cringed a little was during the crucifix masturbation scene. It was definitley a great experience to see it on the big screen though! I thought I got goosebumps at home.. Some parts in there were just intense, I really hope I get to see it on the big screen again at least once more in my life. =-)
I really loved the BTS documetary, definitley showed me some things I have been wanting to know. I can only imagine how much more satisfying it would be if they had audio! But Owen did the right thing trying not to get noticed by Friedkin, for sure.
Okay.. Now it gets personal =P
I kind of felt bad, when Linda (in the BTS) said: “I try to explain to kids that it’s not a horror film..” (As she was talking about putting the film in a genre and such). It’s kind of hard to explain how that made me feel, being a younger fan. Mostly like the older fans may just consider me ‘some kid’ who likes The Exorcist just for the scary elements. That and some other things I think made me avoid some conversations going on after the film in the lobby. Not really relevant haha.Ahhh, and the last thing that REALLY upset me.. Let me set the scene: I was coming out of the theatre and entering the foyer of the building while my mother went to the washroom.. I waited, and those damn drinks in the cinemas in the states are huge so I waited for her to come out before I went in. There was another person waiting in the same place I was but he went to the washroom a little earlier than myself. My mother came out of the restroom and I just went into the mens while the man that was waiting next to me in the lobby exited. I come out the bathroom to realize that the wonderful Exorcist poster I was planning on asking to have was already given to the man literally seconds before I had the chance to ask. I almost cried, haha. A little bit my fault though.. Oh well. It’s.. It’s very remote (hehe)
But overall had a good night, hope everyone else did too! :>

ParticipantHehehe Freidkan :>

ParticipantHmm reminds me of Killer Klowns From Outer Space.

ParticipantGood stuff, thanks for posting! I just keep wishing the BTS footage had audio! But I dare not complain :>
There was kind of an awkward moment in there when Linda was talking about lighting and Owen was just like: “… It’s not only lighting..” =P

ParticipantWell, I just finished inspecting and keeping an eye out for things and I didn’t come up with much, in fact many people probably already know them.. But hey:
Karras is visiting his mother and as soon as he gets in he puts his collar down on its side, but right after this the camera zooms into a picture on the dresser he has set it down on, during this shot the collar is flat on its back. The camera goes back to Karras looking at the picture on the dresser and the collar is back the way he set it.. An obvious one =P
And speeaaking of product placement, is that a Nivea bottle behind Regan in the bathtub? Just a thought haha.
THIS is one I always notice and it bugs me a little. The scene where Karras is recording Regans/The demons voice speaking in reversed english, you can clearly see where the makeup ends on her face and her ears are the normal pigment of her skin.. Nothing major.

ParticipantI’ve never thought about that. I never noticed it either, the windows are fine to me.. Curious :>
DamienKarras
ParticipantYeah, I think the first one is Linda :>
There’s something about Eileen’s face in the ‘possessed regan’ makeup I hate. HmmDamienKarras
ParticipantIt’s like.. Heaven =)
DamienKarras
ParticipantLOL! I love how Friedkin is sitting shooting in the 2nd picture haha.
