Perhaps she is trying to distance herself being a christian now and the words, actions, etc she did in the movie.

How do you know Linda is a Christian?

After they release the Regan figure{s} they should also put out the Exorcist 2 sexy Regan.

    maybe Mel Gibson

It would be extremely interesting to say the least. Gibson is a devout catholic and somewhat controversial among the Hollywood elite considering his statements about Jews.

The Passion of the Christ was a good film and I think that he could do a good job with an Exorcist remake.

You should walk the exact same streets that Chris walked to get home after filming at Georgetown University. It would be cool if you could film and post it as I am sure Exorcist fans would like to see if the neighborhood has changed much since 1973.

What years was he at Georgetown? Must have been the early 50’s I guess.

Do you know where Blatty lives these days?

The only “big name” that would be intresting but would NEVER happen would be Miley Cyrus

Not Hannah Montana, they need to use a fairly shy introverted girl.

I agree with the Captain, although the book is excellent and goes into much more detail {most of which would basically be impossible to fit into a 2 hour movie} the film was what most people experienced first and it left such a mark on them.
In my opinion it is the best film ever made.

Thanks for that. When I watched Heretic many years ago I didnt pay much attention to such details.

The city of Georgetown declined the film makers’ requests to film on location, so Prospect Street was recreated on a sound stage

Do you know why they declined the request for Heretic yet allowed Exorcist 3 to go ahead and film?

Dekota Fanning would be the worst choice possible. They need to cast relative unknowns.

Except that’s already the title of a horrible possession flick based around the original story Blatty was inspired by, so it wouldn’t really work.

It’s also the name of my favourite band.

The trick would be to NOT call it ‘The Exorcist’.

And, no, ‘The Possession of Regan MacNeil’ doesn’t work, either.

Just call it POSSESSED, it’s simple and to the point.

The film for me although the book is also great.
