First of all, I want to wish every one of my fellow Exorcist fanatics a very Merry Christmas and a rockin New Year to come!
I recently hooked up my DVD player to my stereo to get a surrond sound-type of effect, and while watching the digitally remastered version of The Exorcist with the headphones on, I encountered a whole new experience. Subtle background noises and voices–even music that I never noticed before. Look for when Merrin is sitting down at the outside cafe–you can hear a more distinct type of music. And another neat example is when Father Dyer goes to check on Karras–you can hear some old rock tunes going on in the dorm’s hallway–it’s really a different perspective.
