I got that book. Nice cover illustration, decent content. Recommened. But still nothing on the level of quality as the Travers book.

    M.I.K.E.

Ps. There’s a similar paperback on the making of The Heretic, and it actually will make any reader of it optimistic that the justifiably maligned film was handled by people who knew precisely what they were doing and doing to the ‘Exorcist’ name, and thus, that the film was gonna be a winner. Seriously, a good read!

I don’t agree with you, hammer. 😉 To me, Nicoletta looked like the girl next door, and she’s exactly like Regan is described in the novel, with red hair, face full freckles, slender… That’s why I think of her as Rags. 🙂

Nice 🙂 I’m 21. What’s your real name? If you don’t mind my asking. 😉

No, I don’t live in Italy anymore. I live in Berlin, Germany (14 years already… I am 41).

You live in Italy? That’s so great! I live in Portugal, and have been a fan of Nicoletta for years. I respect your opinion, but to me, Nicoletta would’ve been perfect as Regan in the movie.

No… Since I am Italian I know Nicoletta very, very well… and she always had a “strange” beautiful face (but later on she became more “girl next door”)…

Well yes, but I think that Friedkin at first wanted a redheaded child for the movie. He always said he was obsessed with the book and didn’t want to make any changes.

How about this picture of Nicoletta? Do you see her more as the girl next door? 🙂

Actually you are right, but what does work in a novel maybe doesn’t work so well in a movie…

“and I am happy she got the role…”

Oh sure! I adore Linda. I collect her childhood work doing modelling and commercials. I just don’t visualize her as Rags of the novel. I wonder how people can, though.

No at all… But I always thought that Nicoletta has the typical face for a horror movie… I find Linda “normality” in a way more “original” for a movie like the Exorcist and I am happy she got the role… Beside Linda, having a very normal face and not a mysterious one, gives a kind of credibility to the character… You really think she is “real” and not a kid who is playing…

Yes, I have that movie. It’s Who Saw her Die. But what do you mean by posting that picture? Are you upset because I think of her as Rags of the novel and not Linda? 😉

And Justy made this sometime ago. ;))
