Friedkin made this film a few years before “The Exorcist”, based on his friend Mart Crowleys’ off broadway play. The film is legendary with the gay community & the DVD will be released Dec/08 (if they don’t chicken out!). Just as Friedkin took a greater interest in the dvd release of “Cruising”, he will be actively partisipating in the preparation of this classic for re-release. Do yourselves a favor & buy it and consider as you watch it that as many as 5 of that small ensamble of actors has died from AIDS.
