ParticipantBlizzi, thanks! There they are in the same scene. Nice to notice details like the ray of light transversing Morning’s right hand…

ParticipantYou are more observant than I. 😉 My pleasure, as always.

ParticipantI think Scott and Cobb were both great, but each in their own way.

ParticipantIf they were to cast a black actor for Kinderman, I would cast Danny Glover. Let’s make Regan an asian. lol

ParticipantVery little time was allowed for reshoots. The demands for an exorcism went back further than most people realize, but the shotting of these scenes was fast. Little time for Scott and Williamson to interact.

ParticipantI have heard that George C. Scott and Nicole Williamson did not appear together in any scene in Legion. They certainly did not have any character interaction – which they might have, given that Kinderman was trying to contact Morning on the advice of the university president. But that scene never materialized.
However, it would appear that both actors do share the screen when Morning comes “unstuck” from The Gemini’s cell ceiling and falls to the floor. Both Scott and Williamson are in the same scene for a couple of seconds. I’ve looked at stills/screen caps of this scene and it does look like both actors are in the scene. It has been suggested that one or the other is a stand-in, but, to reiterate, they both look like Scott and Williamson to me.
The only other alternative is a CG manipulation wherein both actors were artificially placed in the same scene.
I guess the whole issue is pretty trivial, but it bothers me that if Blatty had those two good actors together for that one brief scene, why did he not include a potentially juicy
I realize, of course, that the production was plagued by MC’s ludicrous demands – nd that Morning was a tack-on character. Maybe time contraints mitigated against expanding Morning’s role, I dunno… any ideas, anybody?

ParticipantRE: Morning and Kinderman.
Both Scott and Williamson were indeed on set together, as the image suggestsd.
