    A merchant says an Afterpay authorization hold is blocking shipment. What concise actions get the hold cleared so the order can proceed?

    Provide afterpay with a short, precise timeline of the purchase and the merchant involved, then request that they confirm capture or clear any internal authorization hold that prevents shipment. Ask afterpay to liaise directly with the merchant’s payments team to reconcile settlement status and to advise whether the order should be cancelled or allowed to proceed. Request a single status update and an expected resolution window so the merchant can fulfill the order without repeated prompts and you can avoid duplicate communications.
