ParticipantNo thoughts? Too bad 😛

ParticipantCould be some connection, but I’m no expert… “Beat me outta me” sounds apt.

ParticipantIf there really is any similarity, I very much doubt that it was intended… I just thought it was odd 😉

ParticipantYeah, I read Wilson’s The Occult years ago… has some interesting ideas… seems that some kind of synchronicity sometimes happens…

ParticipantPerhaps all of creation has been seeded with coded Exorcist messages… that wouldn’t constitute a paranoid view, would it? That would be too bad, as I’m rather fond of the idea. Next thing, I’ll see Fr Karras’s face in a taco!

ParticipantAnd sell it on Ebay for a bundle, lol! I like the idea… The Exorcist is EVERYWHERE… Certainly seems that way to this fan. My fav non-fiction book, The Occult by Colin Wilson, points out this odd phenomenon. ie: opening a book and “randomly” getting the page you want etc. A little thing I noticed yesterday; I changed the channel and caught the last question on Who wants to be a millionaire. The question was “What city’s nickname is “The Electric city”?” I knew that one. Scranton, PA, home of Jason Miller, our dear Father Karras! Wilson’s theory is it’s a sort of esp radar… We find what we want “by chance”. Funny, huh? Well, kooky, at least. 😉

ParticipantHey, anyone see THE OZZORCIST? It’s like the DARK SIDE OF OZ, only Black Sabbath juxtopozed with THE EXORCIST.

ParticipantYou’re kidding! Well, no, you’re not (I just googled it). That sounds very interesting!

ParticipantI am possibly reading to much into this, but I think it’s a little weired. The Nirvana song, Aneurysm, seems to correspond with some scenes in The exorcist… Take this, for example.
“Come on over and do the twist
Over do it and have a fit”Head spin and general chaotic screaming
“Beat me outta me”
Final fight scene
Uh, also Very ape.
“If you ever need anything please don’t
Hesitate to ask someone else first
I’m too busy acting like I’m not naive”Karras’ doubt and hesitation in performing the exorcism…? Not as good as an example as Aneurysm, I know 😉
“Out of the ground
Into the sky
Out of the sky
Into the dirt”Blatty’s rise and fall of the Angel (and Karras)?
Thoughts?
