I have heard that some companies are using technology to scan documents using a cell phone. I wonder if they really extract the most reliable and accurate data from the documents? And if so, where can I find such a solution for Android?
Yes, of course, it is indeed possible nowadays to recognize documents using a regular Android cell phone and extract the most reliable information from them. One of the companies that produce such technology is OCRstudio.
