horror2 … are you old enough to remember the 1970's and this disaster film in movie theaters? The “synchronizer” is only one component of why E2 bombed at theaters. At least the original intrigued individuals enough without relying on the actual “time machine” that Karras mentions in The Exorcist. 🙂 LOL 🙂

No, I wasn't. And in a way, I'm kind of glad I wasn't. While it would have been nice to see Exorcist 2 on the big screen, I don't think I would have liked people laughing and screaming things at the screen which I read is what happened on Wikipedia. That would ruin the fun for me. I have never seen the Director's cut version though but I really want to. I think there are copies of the “Making Of” book on Amazon.com.

You're right. People were so pissed off at how ridiculous the film was. Nothing could save it, including Richard Burton (although he was hammered most of the time during the production as usual). If you really enjoy the film, I get it and understand why you would be ticked if others laughed. The same thing happens when newer audiences see the original film on the big screen. I guess it all depends on how we view something exceptional while others kick our beliefs through laughter.
