Oh. I wondered has anyone considered putting the edit up on http://fanedit.org/. I’m a huge fan of the original and of Exorcist 3 (Exorcist 2 is a bit of guilty pleasure too). Was disappointed with Harlin’s Beginning but saw a lot of potential in Dominion. Would love to see the movie given the treatment it deserves.

Fanedit.org is defintely the place for it. They love horror films over there & there’s so many ways to share now it makes it a lot easier for the editor to get their versions out.

there are alot of things I’d like to say about this subject, however at this Time I can’t really say much.
I will say that this is an Epic pain in the ass battle;)

Hey, you guys, hate to be such a tease, but I don’t have time right now, this minute, to give you an exhaustive review. However, I would like to let you know — since it’s taken me about a month to finally tell you this much — that it’s an utterly breathtaking, fasinating, and entertaining cut Hatter’s put together from the 6 deleted scenes, elements of Renny Harlin’s debacle, and miscellaneous other elements, notably special effects he’d created himself.

Anyway, I’d actually say it’s creepier than both prequels combined, yet not quite up to the level of psychological horror as the original film, and UNDERSTANDBABLY. But he punched various scenes up notches, and all things considered, it’s a fantastic, fleshed out story; a genuine special edition for the film, just not an official special edition.

If anything, it’ll make you appreciate the film more; it certainly doesn not hurt or take away from it.

Soon I will be more specific and offer meaty details for you. Hat’s off to our friend Hatter. He aimed to please, and the result speaks volumes. This wasn’t a weekend project, but months if not 1-2 years.

If we can get this fan cut (or his rumored version 2.0 of said fan cut) legally viewable somewhere on the web, or in real-time, you are in for a treat. It’s like watching a BRAND NEW FILM, but unmistakably Dominion. But IMPROVED, to put it short and sweet — improved, and then some. I may just win over some of you E:TB endorsers. 🙂

Hatter, thank you again for sharing this fan cut of yours with me; I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to see on screen all the hard work, hours, and imagination you’d leant to improving this respectable and glorious though flawed, spirtual cinematic milestone, dubbed “a class act” by William Peter Blatty himself. I hope the WB puts your fan cut out there, or at least uses it as a model for a proverbial future re-release of the Dominion DVD.

Fellow fans, the next post I’ll make here in this thread will detail the DOZENS of improvements Hatter made. This first post was to build the hype and recognize Hatter for his deep commitment of time and energy he’d invested into striving to improve the film this way. The sooner those of you interested can see this fine fan cut, the sooner you’ll be thanking me. 🙂
