KeymasterAs always, Justy – a great find. Main page for this nice rare image.
Happy 33rd Birthday, The Exorcist. And here’s to one of the coolest opening dates for a film of this nature, too – the day after Christmas. Priceless.

ParticipantIt’s amazing that this movie is older than I am and it still hasn’t been outdone.
Happy Birthday to one of the greatest masterpieces of all time !!!

ParticipantTHAT IS MY SCAN and you STOLE it from my ebay auction! As it is a scan I made, it is MY copyright, and you never asked to use it, and you need to either ask or take it down IMMEDIATELY. STOP STEALING IMAGES. You need to reply to my email, too…. THIEF!!!
January 5, 2007 at 11:59 PM #16201stopstealingmyimage
ParticipantTAKE IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY. I SCANNED THIS IMAGE FOR MY EBAY AUCTION AND YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO USE THIS IMAGE. ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS ASK, BUT ISNTEAD, YOU STOLE IT. It is completely dishonest of you to use this without crediting my ebay auctions, where I offer such vintage ads under the user ID “237”. I even have a COPYRIGHT NOTICE on the auctions! LOVE the exorcist! LOVE Blatty! SHOCKED that you’d not even just ASK to use the image. How many other times have you done this?

ParticipantI’m pretty sure you don’t own the newspaper/or whatever company that was printed in. You can’t copyright something that is already copyrighted.
Plus, I’ve had this image on my computer for ages.. I don’t remember where I save them from.

Participantlol!
Dude, get over it… it’s just a damn scan! You scanned it (that’s all) and you posted it on the net, so if anyone finds it and wants to use it (not make money oout of it) it’s just fine!

ParticipantThat was freekin hilarious! Bless his little heart!

KeymasterYou do not own the copyright on this image. It belongs to Warner Brothers, if anyone… and they are happy for me to feature Exorcist media of most nature (check out their logo on the bottom of the site, buddy).
Feel free to take this further if you wish. Simply prove the image is rightfully yours and I will be happy to pull it down.
Asking nicely in a confidential email to the webmaster would have been preferred to demanding on my public forum.

ParticipantI was bored so looked up this dude on ebay and here is his ‘copyright notice’!!
A note to the few out there who ‘borrow’ our descriptions and photos for their own use on eBay and elsewhere: This description and photo/photos are Copyrighted by 237studio. The description may not be reproduced in whole or in part, and the photo or photos may not be used, by anyone else, without express permission. Using someone else’s description or photos without permission is a violation of eBay rules and of US Copyright law

ParticipantI’m sorry if I offend anyone, but I really can’t see what the big deal is.
As I’m songwriter I’ve studied copyright law at Univeristy to learn how to protect my own work.
So IMO this situation is a bit silly, “stopstealingmyimage” it’s not like you made the image yourself is it? You just scanned someone elses work & put it up on the net. If you actually made the image yourself then I’d probably sympathize, but as far as I can tell you didn’t, so chill.
Whilst we are it “stopstealingmyimage” did you get permission from the person who actually made the image in the first place to put it up on the net?
If you didn’t then you’re really in no position to have a go at Justy.
Happy New Year to you all by the way:)

ParticipantWhilst were talking about copyright, Captain may I have your permission to use your Pazuzu Image from the Wallpaper Section for my forum image;)

KeymasterGo ahead, Father Merrin. Feel free.

ParticipantHappy Belated Birthday to the Exorcist!
If it is a scan then neither does the person who scanned it own it.
As long as Warner Brothers doesn`t mind I don`t really see a problem and besides stopstealingmyimage may not be the only person to show this image on the net.

ParticipantThis blog was a jewel! In the infamous words of our beloved character in The Exorcist, “Shove it up your ass, stopstealingmyimage!” So, stopstealing, you need to put “Do Not Copy” ACROSS the image you posted on eBay … and you have no right to blast someone else, like Justin, for “stealing” a scan of something you don’t own. Justin is not a thief either! So you better check the copyright laws and get approval from WB, friend, before you start your harassments.
I’ll bet you are the one who sold (really!) the Human Fart in a Jar on eBay. Too bad it didn’t sell.
This is a priceless blog! 🙂
