KeymasterThanks for the extra link, Justin! I prefer YouTube to IGN, personally.
How exciting is this new behind-the-scenes footage?!!! Surely I’m not the only one jumping out of my skin in anticipation?! And best of all? This is just the tip of the iceberg! The Blu-ray is expected to be PACKED.
Exorcist fans, hold on tight!

ParticipantI peed a little.
The behind-the-scenes footage looks amazing! Hope we get to see some of the Captain Howdy stuff too. And the film itself is looking great – a lot more natural colours than TVYNS.
CAN’T WAIT much longer!!!

ParticipantI remember reading a long time ago that Freidkin didn’t want this footage released because it would take away the mystique of the film. I can see his concern because it shows Linda Blair acting like a normal 12 year old in hideous demonic makeup. That being said I am even more psyched for this!!!

That’s absolutely correct. Thankfully he finally realised enough time has passed and fans are EAGER to see it all! Plus, this Blu-ray is going to make some serious cash, which couldn’t hurt his wallet.

KeymasterI actually thought of you right away, Sofia. Something tells me you’re going to be super-impressed with the features on this Blu-ray.

ParticipantAmen for Roizman! Even on an HD monitor at 360p, the colors look tremendous. I’m sure that WB will be running commercials very soon here in the States after 9:00PM sans the mature scenes. I do believe this is the best montage put together for a trailer in a very long time. I know it is for The Exorcist. Plus, Blair looks incredible in the new interview.
Thanks for sharing this!
In time … in time.

KeymasterThe colours really do look great. The blacks are gorgeously black and everything seems so perfectly neutral.

ParticipantWell, my anticipation for the Exorcist Blu-Ray just went up by oh, a thousand!! The scenes looks brighter, or more vibrant than I’m used to.
Just look at that behind-the-scenes footage, this is what we’ve been waiting to see. Linda, in her demonic make-up, just smiling casually. Or checking her milky contact lenses during a break in, I’m guessing, the levitation scene. Fascinating stuff.

KeymasterYes, anticipation has increased drastically given that this is NOT just another rehash of previous DVD versions. Looks like they’ve gone all-out for this one.

KeymasterThat comparison chart is super impressive! Great work as always, Justin.

ParticipantGREAT comparison job there.
Man, those hues and saturation levels are all over the place <- (Photoshop nerd) But look at the fifth column, the one of Merrin. The 1997 DVD pic has a too-dark, almost sepia tone. The VYNS pic has that cursed blue hue (dare I say, it's going on frickin' purple!) Not to sound like a butt-kissin' sycophant, but the Blu-Ray picture really does seem to have the brightest image, and most natural looking tones.
Aw, what the hell, I'm a butt-kissin' sycophant.October 5th, still a while away.
