Code 11.59 thoughtfully crafted cases define the collection. It’s a true gem—round shape, octagonal case middle, skeletonized lugs, and signature curves—and since its introduction, it’s required either a complication or an equally striking and complex dial to complement it. It is understandable why the time and date model, released in Audemars Piguet’s first Code 11.59 series, received the most hate. The pictures circulating online do not do justice to these well-made watches, mainly because of the slightly dull dial. Still, as new models keep popping up to impress the most diehard skeptics and silence the critics, it’s clear that Code 11.59 is on its way to success and may one day surpass the Royal Oak in importance and appeal (perhaps …). Check out the current Code collection, including the unconventional Starwheel, which seems to be waiting years for a proper case design; admire the blue “guilloché and flinqué” enamel dial or the aventurine perpetual calendar at the Grande Sonnerie Carillon Supersonnerie. Code 11.59 has to be taken very seriously, and a new reference recently added by AP makes it solid. Audemars Piguet chose Code 11.59 <p>best luxury watches</p>
