ParticipantYes, but which house was it that the events took place?
I thought the final confirmation was:
3807 40th Avenue, Cottage City, MarylandFebruary 6, 2009 at 11:59 PM #21678fatherbowdern
ParticipantAnother resource.
howdy, I would just Google both of these addresses. You will get a lot of hits from each one.

ParticipantThe real-estate agent said this story did not add to the value of the house. Does that mean that Exorcist fans would not be interested in buying?

ParticipantI would compare the R.E.H. house to the one in Amityville. If I owned either one, I would apply for a historical site certificate and open a museum … 😉

ParticipantI heard at least with the Amityville house it couldn’t be done due to zoning.

ParticipantYes, that’s right. There’s already a topic on the Amityville house on here somewhere. I would also assume the R.E.H. address would fall within these same zoning rules as it is classified as a residential zone.

ParticipantThis is the house in St.Louis where everything happened. Ronald only went to Alexian Brothers hospital at the very end. I know the sister of a guy that used to own the house. Its only about 10 minuets from my house. Here is a link to a picture of it.

ParticipantYou live in Ronald Hunkler’s area? That’s cool! Are there still people there they remember him?
July 27, 2009 at 11:59 PM #21951Daithi
ParticipantNo, They have all passed away or moved. The neighbors all know about the house but act like its no big deal. They are used to people driving by to see it.

ParticipantBy “used to” people driving by to see it, do you mean they like it, or would that be taking it a little to far?
July 28, 2009 at 11:59 PM #21953Daithi
ParticipantI think its just not a big deal to them. Its my understanding that people never bother anyone they just drive by very slow or just long enough to take a picture and then leave.
I found out the other day that my friend Jennifer’s Grandmother, who is still living, worked at the White House Retreat Center. It is run by the Jesuits in south St.Louis county. This is a place where Fr Bowdern took Ronald on a visit. While seeing the outdoor Stations of the Cross during the daytime, Ronald began having an episode.
Her Grandmother remembers it but did not know at the time that this was a case of possision. She like all the others never speaks of it.July 29, 2009 at 11:59 PM #21954Witch of Endor
ParticipantNever speaks of it? Sounds like she spoke to you about it!
July 29, 2009 at 11:59 PM #21955Daithi
ParticipantShe does not speak of it except to say that she was at work that day and saw him outside. She won’t say anymore. She was employed by the Jesuits at the retreat center and may have agreed to keep silent like all the rest.

Participant…or maybe she just didn’t see him except for that one time.
Did she say what the “episode” consisted of?
