Re: Exorcist: The TV Series….Kinda

Well, this is interesting, in terms of what it could mean for a TV miniseries REMAKE of you-know-what-film… It’d be one way Morgan Creek might bring the Exorcist name to TV. Another way, with a regular series — in addition to such a mini OR instead of one — the Creek better be banking on this NEW series failing as fast as the new Kolchak series did. Otherwise, it better beat this series to the punch if it wants that one paricular valuable commodity… an audience.

Personally, I’d love to see a remake miniseries which could serve as the pilot to a regular series — a regular series set throughout the decades… mainly in the modern day with a certain aging police detective, but also much earlier with a priest named Merrin, letting DOMINION serve as techically the first episode in this hypothetical series. Then fans could follow the films the TV show BOTH, or one of the above.

Yeah, I know… lots of possibilities cause mental havoc… my brain hurts just as much as yours.

Anyway, this new series mentioned so kindly in this thread’s first post, I’m lookin’ forward to it!
