ParticipantWhen I was a kid I had shit loads of action figures, was I grew up, what didn’t get mutilated ultimately got sold for Money to pay for heat.
I regret selling so many of them, A hand full were planet of the apes, I really regret getting rid of those, But I still have a few things around, and Ive bought a couple little things over the years.
As Ive grown up, I have much more respect for alot of these, price I pay is not having alota Money.
But I Love real detaild Figures like this, Id love to start collecting them again.
So many thats been done that I wanted.
A Few months ago I was thinking it would be Nice to see figures from the Exorcist.
I saw a little news of this a few days ago when trying to find out whether anyone were able to get pictures of the figures for the new Star Trek.
I thought to my self “It’s about Damn time”
I cant wait to see what the other one will look like.
It would be nice if theyd do Merrin and Karras Figures, Perhaps them throwing Holy water at Her.Perhaps they should do some replicas of the Pazuzu Idol

ParticipantYes I am extremely excited about this!
I do hope they make some other characters too, though. One of Merrin arriving outside of the MacNeil house would be great. They could have a real light that shines down on him.

ParticipantFinally something for us!!! They have Jason,Freddy,Michael Myers,Pumpkinhead, etc but they never show love to the true horror classic The Exorcist!!! It looks insanely cool my guess is it will be a bit pricey but well worth it.

ParticipantCute… but it is a pity that she looks like the stuntgirl and not like Linda.

KeymasterI agree the likeness could be a lot better but hey — beggars can’t be choosers!

Participanti remember they once sold a model kit of regan on the bed, many years ago. the box on the kit read devil girl, i’m assuming they didn’y have the trademark to call it regan. I also cruised on the net, there is a regan figurine, she is standing with her head turned backwards.

ParticipantI want a figurine that was not in the movie but occurs off-screen. Regan killing Burke Dennings, that would be interesting. You can have Regan turning his head completely around. Your thoughts.

ParticipantWould be interesting but I don’t see that happening.

Keymastercolombiancannon, these figurines you found online are all unlicensed (though still pretty cool). It’s great that we are finally getting a completely endorsed Exorcist figurine.
I don’t see the Burke doll happening any time soon…

ParticipantI rather see a better figurine of the Regan demon, shame on them. I don’t want a figurine of an upside stuntwoman, not even Linda Blair. Next figurine will be Mercedes McCambridge reading her lines at a microphone. No thanks. I want a diorama of the bedroom with the demon Regan in the bed and 2 priests. They did one like that for Jaws, which had the shark, Quint in the shark’s mouth and the sinking boat, now that was a figurine, sold once at Tower records. I WILL FIND A REGULAR BARBIE DOLL AND FLIP IT OVER AND PUT PJ’S ON IT AND MAKE MY OWN LIL STAIRS, SAVE MYSELF 200 DOLLARS. Your thoughts.

ParticipantI don’t think it looks like Linda (except for the nose) nor the stuntwoman. Remember this is not final product though and it’s likely there will be a few changes. Hopefully that’ll include the face.
As the update says, too, there will be a box set based on Regan which includes her in full possession. Despite not even being in the original film, the spiderwalk is still a very iconic and is probably why they are releasing images of it first.

ParticipantI wonder if Blair would receive royalties at this point if the likeness is dead on? I know from experience with Warner Brothers that they send out their copyright police and do it quickly, but it seems that after this many decades after the making the film, that Blair would be a good position to receive some kind of compensation. I know, I know, she didn’t receive a dime in royalties for the film and she signed away her rights when she appeared in the film, but when it comes to figurines, I wonder if that crosses the line for an actor? Of course, figurines (IMHO) never look like the real thing? I have all the Alien figures and they never really as good as what’s depicted in the ad or on the box because they are mass-produced in a foreign country by okay “artists.” My only treasure from Aliens is the actual chest burster! 🙂 Now, WB, don’t get cheap and clean up your act on the figurine and give us a real look alike and pay Blair some royalties for her likeness. Columbiancannon: “I WILL FIND A REGULAR BARBIE DOLL AND FLIP IT OVER AND PUT PJ’S ON IT AND MAKE MY OWN LIL STAIRS, SAVE MYSELF 200 DOLLARS.” I’m with you unless this box set is the thrill it’s supposed to be.

Participanti said 2oo dollars, that’s too much. I think they run cheap, these action figurines. 20 dollars and up,
March 5, 2008 at 11:59 PM #20023fatherbowdern
Participantcolombiancannon … I’ve had to pay up to $200.00 for Alien crap because it was limited edition. I’m sure you’re right that these will probably run in the $20.00 range and be painted so poorly that it wouldn’t matter if the figurine looked exactly like Blair. Also, does anyone find it interesting that they didn’t do this figurine with the blood pouring from the mouth, like that in TE:TVYNS (which was CGI’d to death!)?
March 6, 2008 at 11:59 PM #20025Justin
ParticipantI think you need to stop being so negative (especially when all we’ve seen is a few prototype images), and be happy that we’re finally getting something.
It’s better without the blood, anyway.
