KeymasterMy fav ‘spoof’ is REPOSSESSED starring Linda Blair.
Other rip-offs you could see are ABBY and BEYOND THE DOOR (a.k.a. THE DEVIL WITHIN HER). Trailers are posted below for you 🙂

ParticipantL’ANTICHRISTO is by far the best of the rip-offs. THE DEMON MURDER CASE is pretty entertaining as well, being based on the appalling DEVIL IN CONNECTICUT book.

ParticipantMy fav is the Juliet Mills Italion rip-off “Beyond the Door”. There may have been litigation over its’ release given how much it ‘borrows’

ParticipantAnyone remember The Possessed (1977) starring James Farentino and featuring Harrison Ford?

ParticipantThe Possessed was a tv movie that took place at a girl’s boarding school? I’m trying to remember this one. It had a girl becoming possessed by a pool, really scary and I think she throws up on James Faratino. I’m getting this movie mixed up with another movie called THE SPELL with Lee Grant, it was more like a Carrie rip-off, very scary tv movie, made in 1977.

ParticipantAnother tv movie made in 1972!, directed by Steven Speilberg, his last tv project before going big time. This one is called SOMETHING EVIL, scared the hell out of me as a kid. I remember it had a pentagram in the movie. Starred Johnny Whitaker, child star of the tv show FAMILY AFFAIR. If you can locate this film on the net, it’s worth a look. Steven Speilberg makes a cameo in this moviie.

ParticipantAnother tv movie made in 1974 was called THE STRANGER WITHIN, starring Barbara Eden who plays an expectant mother whose unborn child controls her mind. More like ROSEMARY’S BABY, but it contains a scene where Barbara Eden looks possessed with a scary look on her face, that image scared the hell out of me as a kid.

ParticipantDoes anyone know the name of the tv pic from the mid 70s where during the climactic exorcism the girl spit volumes of nails into the priests’ face. It may have starred someone like Dack Rambo but it’s been so long, who can remember?

ParticipantThat’s the one with James Faratino in THE POSSESSED. Does this help?

ParticipantI remember a movie being advertised shortly after the Exorcist craze began. It was called “Daughter of Exorcism”, though I never did see it. And just earlier this evening I was a movie in which Keanu Reeves was performing an exorcism, though I didn’t catch the title.
