Smells like Shit!
If Morgan Creek take another Stab at the Exorcist, they Need Have the Fans in on it, and let us make some of the big decisions.
I think it would be cool to do a movie about what happened to Regan years later. This would totally ignore Exorcist II.
Okay, no, not with the ‘EXORCIST’ name, but another series many hold dear (at least the original one)… ACE VENTURA – Jim Carrey + child star to make it a prequel = a third fine prequel courtesy James Robinson’s autocracy.*

* Incidentally, this could very well pave the way for ANOTHER Exorcist sequel, prequel, or the dreaded REMAKE, if this Ace Ventura flick is any kind of success — hence, my posting this thread in “THE SEQUELS”. I’m just the messenger, folks. 😐

If they could entice WPB to do it and have him insert some of the dropped themes, if not the scenes from Legion… nah, they’d probably still goof it up.
Maybe they’ll do a Merrin’s childhood-set prequel.
Sex used to sell. But now, movies with kids. So, one day… we might get:
